Introduction

In this article, you will learn how to send a product and shopping cart as a text or email from the Catalog Kiosk app. Product and cart items can be shared by Phone or Email. Depending on the selected option, guests must enter a phone number or email address and accept a disclaimer before sending the message.

NOTE: The Send email to shoppers and Send text message to shoppers features must be enabled in the Device Groups > Settings to use the Send as Text/Email feature on the Catalog Kiosk app. This is the default setting in the Catalog App Manager (CAM). Refer to the Overview: Customizing Your Devices Using Device Groups article to learn more about how to set the Store-to-Shopper Communications.

Instructions

Send Product as Text/Email

Complete the following steps to share products as text or email messages:

1.  Navigate to the product page you wish to share.

2. Tap the Send as Text/Email button on the right. 

The Send as Text | Email form displays. 

3.  Select the delivery method from the two options Text or Email. By default the product is sent as Text.

4.  Complete the form:

  • Phone Number (required): Enter the phone number to receive a text message.
  • Email (required): Enter an email to receive the email message.
  • Name (optional): Enter the name of the guest.
  • Sales Associate (optional): Enter the name of sales associate helping the guest.
  • Notes (optional): Enter any notes to display in the email body or on the text message landing page.

5.  Read the Terms message.

6.  Tap the I have read and agree to the terms checkbox to provide consent.

7.   Tap the Send button to send the text or email.

A confirmation message verifies the message was sent. 

Have your guests check their devices for the message. Please note that both the text and email messages contain your store name. These settings can be changed in your device group settings. Refer to this article to learn more.

The product details such as the image, the form contents, and any notes display once the link in the text message is tapped.

Send Cart as Text or Email

Complete the following steps to send shopping cart items by text or email message:

1. Tap the Send as Text/Email icon in Your Cart.

2.  Choose the Text or Email button to select how the cart message is sent. The default is Text.

3.  Complete the form:

  • Phone Number (required): Enter the phone number to receive the text message.
  • Email (required): Enter an email to receive the email message.
  • Name (optional): Enter the name of the guest.
  • Sales Associate (optional): Enter the name of sales associate helping the guest.
  • Notes (optional): Enter any notes to display in the text or email.

4.  Read the Terms message.

5.  Tap the I have read and agree to the terms checkbox to provide consent.

6.  Tap the Send button to send the text or email.

A confirmation message verifies the message was sent. 

Have your guests check their devices for the shared cart message. The recipient's phone number and the form data they entered on the kiosk is stored in the Share & Shop analytics section and can be exported from there for re-targeting purposes.
